The amdgpu module won't load. I tried the default versions that come with the 6.8 kernel and the installer for noble provided by AMD. Neither work.
I am currently experiencing three problems with my new setup. I would like emphasize that this a brand new AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT with a brand new install of Ubuntu 24.10. I have read repeatedly that the "drivers are in the kernel" so I don't need to install anything. However, this setup currently has three problems.
1.) I have to boot in rescue mode. If I just restart the machine I get a "no signal" error from the TV monitor. It has an HDMI 2.0 connection.
2.) My only available resolution is 1360x768. System information says I am using software rendering using LLVM and my CPU. My system can see that the graphics card exists. My monitor is 1920x1080.
lspci | grep -i vga
0a:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Navi 23 [Radeon RX 6650 XT / 6700S / 6800S] (rev c1)
Module amdgpu is not loaded.
lsmod | grep amdgpu
Returns nothing.
3.) The monitor's colours are inverted in Chrome, but normal in FireFox.

site logo in Firefox is orange:

I used amdgpu-install_6.3.60301-1_all.deb to install the AMD driver.
edit:
I tried the same setup on Ubuntu 24.04 and I'm getting all of the same problems with a different kernel.
kernel: 6.8.0-51-generic
Link to AskUbuntu post.
please provide the link you obtained the driver from.
I think this is the link for this post.
I believe @fsadough is asking which AMD driver you tried using?
Have you tried

I already installed amdgpu-install_6.3.60301-1_all.deb. I am still having issues with graphically intensive games, benchmarks, and AI. My computer shuts down during those tasks.
You never mentioned a shutdown in your previous posts.
A hard shutdown is typically caused by the power supply overcurrent protection, meaning the power draw is too high for what the power supply is rated for.
So what power supply do you have? Actually what are your full system specs? You posted nothing except your graphics card model and operating system.
