Hello,
I first noticed when AMD released the new version of AFMF, AFMF 2, but the drivers as of late have just been completely broken outside of getting the GPU to function at it's bare minimum. With the last few versions, Adrenalin will constantly fail to open (can't right click the icon in the tray nor use the hotkey to open it's overlay), which when this happens, it results in AMD overlays (such as FPS counter, GPU usage, etc) breaking. In addition, Adrenalin also fails to correctly detect the status of games being played, for example when a game is closed it'll say it's still being run, which also leads to the inability of AMD features (such as AFMF, anti-lag, etc) to be applied to another game (since Adrenalin still thinks the past game is being played, it won't detect the new game that's run, hence it can't apply those features to said new game).
Recently more and more posts have been popping up about Adrenalin (especially in the r/AMDhelp subreddit where users complain of Adrenalin not opening) and I'm unsure if the AMD team has noticed these issues/acknoweldged it. I can confirm it's the driver versions as downgrading to version 24.5.1 fixes everything, Adrenalin opens again, games are being detected, etc. It's a shame because I want to use the new AFMF but I can't when Adrenalin thinks a game I've closed is still being played.
Any input is appreciated, thank you.

I agree, it's a bit disappointing that all of these are still issues with their drivers, it's like every few driver versions something goes terribly wrong and it's a toss up.
I also have problems with 24.12.1, my drivers randomly turn off and i need to restart the pc and "turn on" the drivers in device manager and restart my pc for a second time for adrenaline to work again. I think im going to downgrade to 24.11.1. They keep messing up the drivers and never giving a solution.

Yeah think it might be related to the issue of Adrenalin not opening, restarting always fixes it but only temporarily, another temporary fix was just to kill the Radeon Host Application in task manager to be able to open it again. Downgrading would probably fix it, 24.12.1 seems to be a dumpster fire.
Not sure how you all open adrenaline, but, for me, a single right click, or double right click on the desktop. Open Adrenaline. Done. But, i feel you. The newest version, seems a bit more buggy, no doubt.
When it broke for me, any method I tried to open it wouldn't work. Whether it be through the desktop, using it's overlay, the tray icon, etc. Doesn't seem to be happening for everyone though so I don't know what's going on.
