Hello all, I've been having this problem for over a year now and it's beginning to drive me insane. This issue pertains to AMD Software, and potentially Drivers, for my AMD Radeon RX 6600.
Here's the issue: Since some time last year, after I had updated Adrenalin to a newer version, performance in any medium to high intensity in-game activity in any of the games that I play result in stuttering and very poor performance, sometimes there is rampant flickering and sometimes my mouse sensitivity gets broken. Hardware utilization seems normal if not low, and nothing is overheating. I have Record Desktop enabled, as I always have, turning it off does not resolve my problems.
The only fix I have - of which is temporary - is ending the entire process trees of the following AMD.exe applications from Task Manager:
- amdfendrsr.exe
- amdow.exe
- AMDRSServ.exe
- AMDRSSrcExt.exe (this one only shows up after a while of the other ones being present)
Interestingly, with these disabled, my desktop is still recorded and I can even use my hotkeys to save clips just fine, though I get no overlay notification that they were saved. The AMD application is entirely inaccessible otherwise when I do this. I need to do this every time I start my PC, and once more after some period of time, generally over an hour.
This issue has been persistent across countless versions, though my temporary resolutions have varied but have all involved using Task Manager to kill an AMD process.
Can provide as much information about other aspects of my PC as needed. Not sure what else is relevant to this.
