uProf Power Profiling broken for Raven Ridge

I noticed that in the most recent release of AMD uProf, power profiling is greyed out on my HP Envy x360 Notebook with a Ryzen 2500U.

The feature was still present in version 3.2 and before.

However, uProf 3.2 exhibits additional problems for me. Firstly, the option for the Socket power is missing.

See version 3.2 below:

Addtionally, temperature monitoring in uProf 3.2 (and maybe other metrics too?) exhibit weird, innacurate behavior:

The last version that works fine on my notebook is uProf 3.1.

Hi brunnen153‌,

uProf v3.3 disables PowerProfiling if Hyper-V enabled on Windows. If its ok to disable Hyper-V in your setup, you may disable Hyper-V and try Power Profiling (uProf v3.3). In the next release, we will support Power Profiling with Hyper-V enabled.

Even though this AMD Forum is for Servers and EPYC processors but this is the place where Users posts about uPROF software: https://community.amd.com/community/server-gurus .

Possibly another User can help you or the Moderator.

Thank you, I was actually looking at that place (since it's linked to from the uProf page), but I felt a bit out of place asking about non Epyc stuff there.

What's the best way to go about it? Is it okay for me to repost there?

Hi Brunnen153,

can you please share with us detailed system information by running following from "C:\Program Files\AMD\AMDuProf\bin":

AMDuProfCLI.exe info --system

This info will help us in analyzing the issue that you are seeing.

I executed that command with both AMD uProf 3.1 and 3.3, here are the results.

Also, this was done on the same system, back to back, same Windows version, contrary to the output of the older uProf version.

That's it! I can confirm that all the features are available again after I disabled Hyper-V. Looking forward then to the next release

Aside from that, the temperature reading still has this weird behavior where it slowly decreases before jumping by almost 10°C, every few seconds. Is a fix for that in the works too?
