I'm trying to get some software that requires OpenGL 4.5 (Ansys) to run on an Ubuntu 20.04 system with an older AMD card:
$ inxi -G
Graphics: Device-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Navi 10 [Radeon RX 5600 OEM/5600 XT / 5700/5700 XT] driver: amdgpu
v: 6.0.5
Display: server: X.org 1.20.13 driver: amdgpu tty: 140x48
The specs that I found for Navi 10 say that it should be able to run OpenGL 4.6, but it appears to only have 4.0:
$ glxinfo | grep -i "core profile"
Max core profile version: 4.0
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.0 (Core Profile) Mesa 23.1.0-devel
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.50
Is there a way for me to upgrade the OpenGL version?
