I have now been rolling back drivers, updating drivers, cleaning drivers, reinstalling windows, checking memory and all of that for near on three days. without any luck.

If anyone has any ideas about what might be goingon and how to correct it I would be very appreciative. I am now starting to isolate the hardware and testing in another PC so will see how that goes.
