For a few months now, the drivers of my AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card stop working, get uninstalled, or break; and since I have a monitor connected via DPA cable directly to the graphics card, when this happens, the monitor turns off, and I have to restart the computer to reinstall the drivers and resume normal use. I’ve searched everywhere for solutions, tried everything, but I can’t figure out the issue, nor do I know what causes it. It’s very frustrating. Sometimes, two weeks pass without any problems, and other times, it happens five times in one day, which, besides being frustrating, complicates my daily life since I study and work on my computer. Could you help me? I have images showing the process from when the driver fails, I restart the computer, and then reinstall it. I’ll also provide the other components of my system.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
Mother: Gigabyte B550M AORUS PRO AX
BIOS MODE: UEFI
RAM: x4 Kingston Fury Beast 8gb 3200 mhz ddr4 = 32GB.
Images 1 - 7 of the frustrating process when this occurs
First thing I would try is DDU the drivers and then reinstall from scratch.
Then I would use Adrenalin metric logging to try and capture what is happening when the driver crashes.
Already done, thanks, but dont work.
Having same problem here
rx6600
Tried few things but nothing seems to work
I don't wish this on anyone, but knowing that I'm not the only one at least means it's not an error or problem that something is going to 'explode'... Also, there's no information about this error online, and from AMD, any response?...
Hey bro ye Got the same Problem , Since 1 year I had no issues with anything but now since then new driver it keep crashing like u said, sometimes 5 times in a row some times days past without any issue , Idk what we should do I got a rx 6750xt
Alr I try to test an older driver , might be a driver issue I will go first for 24.7.1 instead of the newst rn 24.8.1
I already tried with that version and the one before it, it happens with all of them. Now it happened to me with the latest 24.8.1... it seems like the only option is to wait for a version of Adrenalin where they fix this problem. In the meantime, it's frustrating every day while the driver fails for no apparent reason, and I waste time rebooting, reinstalling, repairing, or doing whatever is needed to get it working again. It gives me some peace of mind knowing that I'm not the only one experiencing this because I was really worried that some component might not be functioning correctly. Nothing overheats, I keep track, and nothing is broken, no crashes, no clue where to start fixing it. Not to mention, I've stress-tested my graphics card with various demanding programs, and it never went over 60°C, it runs perfectly. It's a shame we have to consider switching brands because of such 'mediocre' issues, but unfortunately, that's the way it is...
I might fixed it , try to reinstall drivers only witout the adrenalin software cuz some ppl said its bugged and do a ddu with drivers only I play 3 days witout black screens
Thanks, I will try whis this.
I've spent the whole day trying to fix something similar that happened to me. I can't open AMD Adrenalin bc it says it's not compatible with my driver, I can't use some stuff and my monitor got desaturated. Tried a lot of things from AMD and Lenovo (I use an Ideapad) but nothing worked so far.
Ye u need to activate ur gpu if this is the case when u try to open ur amd software , I rly dont know I will test 24.5.1 now since 8.1 and 7.1 keept crashing aswell , I rly dont know what to do since it is a driver issue
