Hello everyone
I put together an AMD setup recently and I am stuggling with some texture flickering. Playing games (Battlefield 2042, RAILGRADE, Hogwarts Legacy…) does always run smoothly with no lags or FPS drops.
On most of these games however, I noticed some texture tearing / black flickering. I noticed it happening on most of the games I have installed so far such as RAILGRADE, Hogwarts Legacy and Battlefield 2042.
Hardware:
- 16GB Sapphire Radeon RX 7800 XT Pure Gaming Aktiv
- AMD ryzen 9 7900x
- MSI MPG B650I Edge WiFi Motherboard, Mini-ITX
- LIAN LI SP850 GOLD SFX PSU
- 1xSSD
- 1xHDD
- 2x 16GB RAM G.SKILL Flare X5 EXPO DDR5- 6000
- LG Monitor 3440x1440 @ 144Hz
Things I tried:
- I initially thought that this is directly linked to the GPU not getting enough power as I was running it on a single daisy chained cable to the PSU, I then changed the setup to a 2 separate 8pin cables, but the issue is still there.
- I then tried to clean install windows 10, and reinstall AMD drivers, but that kept the issues in game.
- I tried an older version of Adrenalin, did not fix the issue
Has anyone faced something similar with AMD before or has an idea of what could be causing it? I am leaning towards this being a software problem in hope that I don't have to return the GPU...
