Tekken 8 crash - RX 6700 XT

Hello,

I'm having trouble with Tekken 8 crashing on my 6700 XT (paired with 5800x). The game runs smoothly and there is never an indication that it's about to crash, but I did notice it happens only during loading screens (prior to, and after finishing a match).

The error message I've attached shows that the main issue lies in some piece of code, namely: "CurrentQueue.Fence.D3DFence ->GetCompletedValue() failed"Screenshot_2.jpg

Driver version is 24.4.1. - no over/underclocking and no under/overvolting.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you!

The issue was related to the auto boost of the 5800x.

Tekken 8, at the time of writing, has issues with overclocked CPUs.

Limiting the max CPU util to 99% in windows prevents the cpu from boosting, and fixed the issue.

Hey! I have a fix that should work for you just fine!

Simply remove the drivers you currently have, and install any driver before 24.1.1. As in, any driver that isn't officially supported for Tekken. Personally, I use 23.11.1. Keep in mind that the game will have to reload shaders when you install new drivers, meaning that the first launch of the game might be a little slower than the rest.

Hope it works!
