Hi there, I have just built a new PC:
7950X3D
7900XTX
64GB Ram 6000mhz
1000 Titanium PSU
I have uninstalled and reinstalled this programme so many times and it just does not work. I have tried removing Adrenaline and then reinstalling Master, I have tried updating chipset and messing with BIOS settings - I get the same message each time. Is there a fix for it that is simple for a n00b like me to do? Thank you
It's a windows 11 isue regarding core isolation and the safeboot procedure.
I recommend using the BIOS to adjust the CPU parameters instead of Ryzen Master.
If you still do want to use Ryzen Master that is still possible but you need to take a lot of effort to do so under windows 11. (It involves many reboots and lowering your overall security settings and even then windows will be constantly a pain in the a$$ so i do not recommend doing it at all)
Once you go back to windows 10 your problems disappear and all will work smoothly ...
Do not expect microsoft to adress this issue because it's part of their own business model to control any hardware it is installed on and block anything that wants to do the same, like Ryzen Master and AMD Adrenalin.
So the BIOS is the fastest workaround or downgrade to windows 10 will also be faster then trying to get it to work on windows 11.
In addition to my previous post :
To get it to work in windows 11 you can try the following but is not guaranteed to work since every windows build is different at the core :
- turn off Virtualiztion in the BIOS (probably called : SVM)
- turn of secure boot in the BIOS
- turn off core isolation in windows
But remember that after any windows update all of this will be undone and your system will become more unstable since it triggers many security alerts within the windows core so i do not recommend taking this step.
However, it doesn't hurt to give it a try because you might be lucky with your windows setup and it might just work right away.
In the worst case you need to manually undo the BIOS settings and turn core isolation on again and probably reboot a couple of times to convince wndows that all is well...
I heard windows preview pack solves some issues...
There's very little you can do with Ryzen Master and a 7000 series X3D processor anyway... unless you're installing it simply for monitoring purposes?
