PC Drivers & Software

I've meticulously followed the advice of a clean install (a process I follow anyway) by uninstalling everything, emptying the C:\AMD folder, disconnecting from the internet and restarting in safe mode, cleaning with DDU, then installing the new drivers.  My PCs device manager automatic installation settings to 'No'.

I've also changed the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching to '1'.

My PC continues to revert back to the 17.1.1 driver.

What can I do now?

Any help/advice very gratefully received.

goodplay​ - thanks so much for the response.  Sadly, these methods won't work with Windows 10 Home Edition, only Pro, Enterprise and Education.

I'm completely at a loss, and almost feel like crying - my lovely graphics card is sort of pointless at this time, it seems.  I've even disabled Windows updates completely, in the Services menu, and it's *just* done it again.

No idea what to do now.
