Just built a new computer running a 7900 XTX and Win 11 Home. My previous computer was running an RTX 2060 and Win 10.
The issue I'm having is that on certain games, we will use High on Life as an example. I am playing 4K @ 60hz but decide I would rather have the higher frames and want to play at 2K @ 120hz instead. When I change the resolution in the in game menu it will switch on screen to 2560x1440 but will not actually swap to 2K @120fps. Most games when I swap to 2K the TV flashes real quick the input detail at the top shows 2560x1440 @ 120hz and then boom I'm getting 120fps that matches the vsync. This did NOT happen on my previous computer and so far I've encountered this issue in High on Life and Mafia Definitive. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears as I've exhausted everything I can think of.
