I am currently facing 3 manifestations of a driver problem.
First the GPU driver will crash. From what I can tell, changing between or loading programs increases chances of it happening. But it does also happen while idling. First the screen freezes but the cursor can still be moved, next the cursor freezes too, then the monitor blackscreens and resets.
Text rendering-heavy programs like internet browsers and discord have text sometimes float about, bunch up or dissapear. I can supply example images.
Also some games won't load. Such as Halo MCC, Lethal Company and non-Steam based Call of Duty. They just sit on a black loading screen for eternity. Only Halo is any help, closing after 2 minutes with a line 1144 error. Games that I can load include Minecraft, Stellaris & Trackmania.
I have tried so far to reset the Bios using a little battery on the motherboard and to change the drivers running the GPU. I have removed the drivers using DDU and I no longer have these problems. I do then no longer have a GPU. Currently running 23.12.1 driver.
I built this PC fresh about a month ago. It is comprised of an AMD Ryzen 7600, AMD RX6800, MSI B650 Gaming + Wifi, 2x Kingston Fury 16GB 6000MHz, Corsair rm750x and a Crucial P3 2TB drive with acer k242HQL monitor. Running Windows 11 64bit 24H4.
