The rx 570 does not support open gl 3.3? is there a way to fix this?
Hi @mike-opengl
AMD messes up OpenGL every now and then only fixing it years after reported. How do you know your GPU is not currently supporting OGL 3.3?
It might help reverting to previous WHQL drivers or updating to the latest ones, it seems the RX 570 is experiencing a lot of driver issues currently.
Here are the previous drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/previous-drivers/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/rade...
Kind regards
Thanks for the link to previous drivers. I know the latest software for this RX 570 doesn't support Open GL 3.3 because when i try to launch Blender, i get a message that the display card does not support Open GL 3.3 and then the launch fails. The only way i can launch Blender is to disable the RX 570 and use the card on the mother board.
Hi @mike-opengl
I understand, I have never used blender but the only thing I can guess might help is if one of the previous drivers may have supported it, AMD is supposed to support up to OpenGL 4.6 on that card.
Kind regards
Thanks again for the link. I followed the link to the previous driver, successfully installed it and came up with the same error when trying to launch blender. Apparently that driver doesn't work either. Maybe an even earlier one might work. I'm not sure how to search and find earlier versions.
