Hi, since 2021 I tried updating my driver about 6 or 7 or 8 times and every times the driver crashed. I sent 347490723402 crash bump but it appears AMD look at them.
I tried removing my current driver with the official AMD remover. I tried with the most popular unofficial one, I forgot the name. I tried the windows 10 driver. I tried the 2 AMD official versions many times. They all crash no stop ! Some time I have a BSOD while installing the driver. Some time not, but as soon as I open OBS Studio or go check a stream on my navigator the driver crash/reboot no stop every 30 sec.
I usually run everything finely but I have problems in Genshin Impact now and it MAY be the cause of my problem, that's why I'm here. I want to update them. These 20.9.2 drivers are getting old. Could someone help me plz ? My dxdiag : https://ufile.io/w78idmlv

Hi, I received an email because someone left me a like.
In short, what the staff told me 9 months ago, if I remember right, was that my graphic card was probably the problem (hardware, not software) and I had to physically remove it and reinsert it, put my BIOS by default and I forgot what else. But I decided to do absolutely nothing and just keep the same drivers because I knew my card was fine and as proof, they finally fixed their **bleep**s with a driver update.
The old driver I was using without problem was the : Win10-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2020-Edition-20.9.2-Sep29.exe
More recently, I found this was working : amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.7.2-minimalsetup-230801_web.exe and I think this one also work : amd-software-pro-edition-22.q4-win10-win11-nov15.exe
And I updated it with this one and it's still working : whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.10.2-win10-win11-oct19-rdna-combined.exe
I don't know if they made a new update but I was used to update my graphic card twice per year so I won't bother with this now. November 2023 is not old.
Note : I say they work and that's true, they work perfectly without any crashes or BSOD but every single time I open OBS or Streamlabs (and Streamlabs also use OBS), my graphic card crash (it unfreeze and come back automatically after 10 sec, 90% of the time. I some time must force reboot my PC). I made a thread about this on the OBS forum and they told me OBS was not the problem and I probably have a Graphic Card not compatible with my MOBO... Sigh... They too will fix their **bleep**s one day, I hope...
If you find yourself a working driver, don't forget to backup it inside a folder/partition where you will always find it. It's very precious lol !
That's why we should not buy an AMD card. It's poo ! Plus, they have no support and moderator put these threads in the spam section and remove people's answer such as the one I have to write again.
You should delete your account here as you don't have anything to contribute it seems, lol
**bleep** I'm not here to contribute, I'm here as a client !? I'm here for the support ! I checked the AMD website twice for opening a ticket and the only thing I found was this forum. If I posted in the wrong place, a moderator can move my thread instead of erasing what I write or moving it in the spam section !
What power supply make/model?
What are the specs of the rest of your system?
Is your motherboard's BIOS up to date?
Are you running the latest chipset drivers for whatever motherboard type (AMD/INTEL) you are running?
You can try running the program called DDU and remove all past/present AMD GPU drivers .. reboot .. and THEN install latest GPU drivers from AMD.com
Make sure your Windows install is up to date
Isn't the dxdiag answering most of these questions ?
The power supply is a HX620
Windows 10 of course up to date + https://imgur.com/a/5JMrTzn
I checked on the asus website for my bios just to be sure and there have been nothing new for a long time. 2 or 3 years ago I tried finding the original maker's website and try to find something newer but I have been unable to find the link and check if they made a new version. https://www.asus.com/ca-en/supportonly/p8q77-m/helpdesk_bios/
About the chipset, I don't THINK I use those from the asus website because they are dated 2015. I used programs like drivermax + driverhub for finding something newer. (I didn't updated them blindly like a moron. I verified their version numbers and and their dates. Except this problem when I update the graphic card drivers everything run perfectly without BSOD and these old drivers I use right now are very stable).
I tried DDU many times and probably another popular program. I also of course tried the official AMD driver remover. I always have the same problems. BSOD while installing them or the drivers crash every 30 sec. (I'm not 100% sure but I think what crash is not the driver but this, the Radeon software https://imgur.com/a/pvxJTt0 ) And this summer, the last time I tried, after having a BSOD while installing the driver, I unzipped the whole driver installer and manually/auto installed the missing files with windows 10 (right click the driver and update in a specific folder). I think I managed to install them but they crashed no stop. And right now, I completely disabled windows update from installing any driver cause windows 10 always update them and my radeon software stop working due to a mismatch version. I'm a gamer, I want this software to work.

You know what ? Yes, I'm still crashing in Genshin Impact !
I'm still in need of help.

How is it going my friend? Seems to me you have had a rough time. You seem to have already tried to use DDU, as well as the AMD Cleanup Utility to no avail. Here is a link to contact actual tech support as this is a community forum. Online Service Request | AMD
It seems unlikely that anyone here can help in this matter. If there is anyone with new suggestions they are free to post them here, however it seems to me you have exhausted all possible solutions.
Quick note, don't use driver updater software. Go to the manufacturer's website and download the official drivers. Programs that you run to see if there are driver updates can cause problems unless they are from the manufacturer of your hardware. An example of one that would be less likely to cause problems would be, the update utility found on the support page of a specific motherboard's product page like the B550 Aorus Elite AX V2.
FINALLY ! Thank you ! I searched 2 or 3 times how to contact the AMD support but was unable to find this link !
Hi, how many days do we usually have to wait until we receive an answer from AMD ? I received nothing yet.
I still need help
Have you used the link to message AMDs support team?
Hi, https://imgur.com/a/yC43mai yes I did. They don't give a **bleep**
Did you leave an email for them to contact you?
Of course lol. We probably can't even open the ticket without one. I will send them another one right now but they will probably ignore me again.

Prior to becoming a Volunteer here, I did submit a ticket and got a message back within 4 days. It's unfortunate that they have not replied to your original ticket. The best I can do is tell you to be patient, while understanding you have been.
This possible solution just came to mind. Have you tried disabling driver updates from Windows Update? Here is a guide. Solved: How to stop updates for drivers with Windows Updat... - AMD Community
Provided this was my PC, I would follow the guide, then use DDU to remove all traces of older drivers and restart. After the restart I would try to install the current drivers from AMD, if they fail or are unstable I would work my way back trying every driver until I hit one that was stable.
Good luck my friend. Reply if you are able to find a solution or the AMD support team replies.
Hi, someone finally answered me and requested me some files (like dxdiag etc.) and asked me questions. They will probably help me now.
But yes my windows update driver is already disabled. If I don't, win10 install the new driver and my Radeon software stop working. I want it to work.
Good to hear they got to you. Yeah I disable it in every system I build. It doesn't do much to mess up Nvidia GPUs but AMD GPUs get broken updates when it is enabled.
Again it is good to hear someone replied. Keep us updated if they find a fix.
hello bro i have the same problem, please say me how you can fix it, i need a solution :cccccccccc

thanks i will try!!!
can u do undervolt with that drivers? when i try with the drivers i have, mi gpu crashes inmediately
I don't seem to receive an email per reply, only with likes and I'm too lazy to go check the settings because I'm not planning to open a new thread for the rest of my life here.
There is something I forgot to say yesterday but it has nothing to do with the problem I had (I help others when I can) : with this graphic card, I suggest you to use MSI afterburner and make yourself a manual fan control instead of using the automatic mode. I was always going in the 70-85 C while gaming. Now I stop at 50-55. I hear the fan noise when I don't have my headphone but I have more peace of mind now. It was very scary...
By undervolt do you mean in the bios ? No idea I don't overclock or downclock. Why would you want to do this !? Your bios is supposed to deal with this perfectly. If you want to use less electricity and save money, go in your AMD Adrenalin software and force cap your FPS to 45 or 30 (same in RivaTuner if you have this program, to make sure every programs aim for the same target FPS).
