RaidXpert with embedded Oracle Java

I noticed AMD RaidXpert comes with embedded Oracle Java 6, is there a release version with openJDK or can you simply replace the jre folder yourself?

Java 6 is quite old (and vulnerable).  I wonder if we could also just remove RaidXpert2 (and the Java version it comes with) entirely but still have our RAID array work as expected.  Obviously, we wouldn't status alerts or configuration options within the OS, the ability to initiate patrol reads, etc.

There was recently an update, but I didn't test that as I replaced the embedded jre with an openjdk 8 version and that seems to work fine in my case. Your mileage may vary.
