I tried to start recording with the record feature that is built in the Software Radeon app, and it wouldn't start recording.
When i hit the record button, or the hot keys combination, my cursor would have the loading icon for a bit, and then nothing would happen. I checked the task manager, and the consumption of the program would go up for a second then back to normal, so it's trying to do something but fails.
I have a Ryzen 5 1600, and a RX 550 4gb, so in theory my computer is capable of recording. Also, i used to have a a12 9800 and no graphics card and, although with bad video quality, i was able to record just fine.
My drivers are up to date, so that shouldn't be a problem.
