I have the same problem. Since I use a laptop, I cannot use the solution you suggested. My graphics card version is stuck at 23.12.1. When I install the new versions, I get a black screen. When I boot into safe mode, delete the drivers, and install the 23.12.1 version again, the black screen disappears. But after installing new updates, the error persists. AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics.
Me too! This has been going on for too long.
External monitors sometimes work . Also lowering the refresh rate can be temporary fix to allow you to rollback the drivers. But I'm still 23.12.1 here is my post
I am experiencing the same problem, please solve this problem.
The same here. 7840HS/780M. The last working driver is 24.8.1.
AMD also offers the driver explicitly for 7840HS. If I install it, I end up in a black screen and thus get into a boot loop. Since I still have a discrete NVidia graphics, I can switch to this in the UEFI and get the laptop to boot.
I only use the laptop as a productive system for music production and don't really need the discrete nVidia graphics. However, without the discrete graphics I would have had to reset the system, which would have been a lot of work, costing me several days of work and a lot of money. Yes, I also have a backup, but that would have been the last solution, which would also have cost time. But not everyone makes a backup before a driver update - I would say very few.
Adrenaline 24.9.1 does not work.
Adrenaline 24.10.1 does not work
Adrenaline 24.10.1 minimal setup does not work either.
Bravo AMD.
I come from Intel (in combination with nVidia) and Mac. I have not had such serious errors with either system so far. Ok, Meltdown and Spectre were really terrible in terms of performance loss after the updates. I probably should have stuck with Mac even if it would have cost me 4 times as much by now.
Have you had your lcd panel replaced by any chance?
