I looked at this guide from TechPowerUp and when they mentioned about updating to the most recent chipset drivers, they mention that I am suppose to have 8 options show up but I only get 7. I am missing the AMD PCI Device Driver. I've tried looking around to see how I can get that driver but I am not able to find it. Any fixes to this?
Might help to know what cpu & motherboard make/model, and is this the drivers from amd or mobo support site?
Might also be helpful to link the TPU guide?
I have a 7900x3d with a 7900 xtx
Same with me. Looking everywhere but no luck. With these 7 entries I felt my cpu was under performed. Cinebench R23 only score 32K. Suppose it hit around 35K to 36K right? Running stock btw. Im on Asus Gene X670e mobo with 1003 bios and 7950X3D procs. Both chipset from AMD or Asus site only allowed me to install 7 drivers only. Not 8 as mentioned. For sure "AMD PCI device driver" was missing. Any suggestion?
you could manually install it .. just point to:
C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Packages\IODriver\PCI\PCI Driver\W11x64
"Look for the hardware with device ID 0x145A, 0x1455, 0x1485, 0x148A, 0x14DE"
How do I do this?
I have the same problem.
Asus Proart 670E AMD 79353DX Corsair Dominator 6000
also having exactly the same problem (following the same guide to optimise the performance of my 7950x3d) and when I try and install updated chipset drivers no PCI driver shows up - so is there a solution to this?
As I didn't install the chipset update (when the PCI driver wasn't appearing) -where can I find the manual location of the latest PCI driver to do manual install? also if I manage to install it and it is really not needed will it have any impact on the system?
