Hello gus, tks for accepting me.
I'm trying to use FX-8300 with MOBO = M5A78L-M plus/usb3 (chipset AMD 760G(780L) / SB710), but the s.o doesn't recognize the 8 cores / 8 threads. Just 4/4.
Can someone help me?
Do you have the latest BIOS installed for your motherboard?

If you do.. Try entering setup and loading default settings. SAVE.
Thank you for your reply Hardwood, Yes, the bios has the latest version (0502), before I put on the cpu I cleaned the CMOS. I formatted my computer(hd) with windows too.
Just so we got this straight. You reload BIOS defaults AFTER you change CPU. Then make all necessary changes then save it.
I already did it, I already formated, I also reinstalled the OS with the new cpu and cleaned CMOS.
Your cpuz core speed in the first post does not match default setting for that CPU.
Please post full system specs.
Under your Motherboard BIOS, is there any category about CPU strictly? About using all "Cores"? Or enabling all "Cores" in the CPU?

I saw on another site, a member with a similar problem and the suggestion was open msconfig/boot/advanced and set number of processors to 8.
Maybe it will work, maybe not.
Make a restore point first.
disable check on numero de proc
apply
reboot
