Hello everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my AMD GPU where sporadic artifacts appear, especially when hovering over specific UI elements. These artifacts show up as flickering white or colored bars that last briefly and then disappear.

When do the artifacts appear?

• In browsers (Firefox/Chrome), when hovering over YouTube video thumbnails or browser tabs

• In CS2, when navigating the buy menu

• In Windows, such as in the quick settings menu (bottom right of the taskbar) or in AMD Adrenalin when hovering over an ad

What have I tried so far?

:white_heavy_check_mark: Used DDU to uninstall and reinstall GPU drivers

:white_heavy_check_mark: Disabled Windows hardware acceleration

:white_heavy_check_mark: Disabled Firefox hardware acceleration

:white_heavy_check_mark: Ran VRAM test with OCCT (no errors found)

:white_heavy_check_mark: Power supply is sufficient (be quiet! Pure Power 750W)

:white_heavy_check_mark: Changed DisplayPort cable & tested another port

:white_heavy_check_mark: Checked Windows Event Viewer (found some errors like “AMDRyzenMasterDriverV29 not found,” but resolved them)

Additional Observations:

• The artifacts appear randomly, sometimes multiple times a day, and then not at all for several days

• In one case, the artifacts disappeared as soon as I moved my mouse

• The monitor itself does not show issues (no flickering, no disconnects)

Possible Causes?

I’ve seen discussions suggesting that hardware acceleration might be the issue, but since I’ve disabled it in both Windows and Firefox, I’m unsure if that’s the root cause. Could it be a driver-related bug, a GPU issue, or something else?

It is an issue of Adrenalin driver after 24.5.1. I meet this artifacts since update adrenalin to 24.6.1.

It seems to have fix it for me, although this isnt the best solution since the older driver give me worst performance in many games. May I ask what pc components you have? Also what brand they are?

Hey, well the big artifacting issue is now away but there still happen some white screen flashes every now and then when I click a link/hover over a picture in steam…

Do you also experience this on the 24.5.1 drivers?

At first I thought it was just the browser loading the new page, but then it also happened when hovering over a picture on reddit and steam.

thanks for you reply! I will role my driver back to 24.5.1 and see if this fixes it.
