actually the 20.12.1 IS the best driver so far for GCN cards like RX 560X
my Acer Nitro 5 is now #1 in FireStrike (https://www.3dmark.com/fs/24401252)
R5 2500U @30W + RX 560X @66W (1400MHz + 1500MHz) + 16GB DDR4-2400CL16 (DualChannel, but dynamic)
it would even be #4 when compared to Desktops with RX 560 + R5 1500X
i also OCed my IPS-Panel to 100Hz with FreeSync
if your Laptop has lower FPS do this:
1. update Win10 to 20H2 (until there is NO update left)
2. clean your Laptop with compressed air spray
WOULD BE USEFULL:
3. maybe repaste your Laptop (as it is 1-2 years old now) // Thermalgrizzly Kryonaut is awesome
OVERCLOCKING ETC:
4. use tools like FlyGoat/RyzenAdj on github (30W with 100% is ok)
5. maybe OC your RX 560X (use MSI Afterburner to enable Wattman or OC in Afterburner) - usually 1350MHz with some undervolting is possible; also you can lift your RAM to 1500MHz
PC: R7 2700X @PBO + RX 580 4G (1500MHz/2000MHz CL16) + 32G DDR4-3200CL14 + 144hz 1ms FS P + 75hz 1ms FS
Laptop: R5 2500U @30W + RX 560X (1400MHz/1500MHz) + 16G DDR4-2400CL16 + 120Hz 3ms FS
