during the last few "windows 10 home" feature updates the ati radeon 3100 graphics driver 8.970.100.9001 dated 1/13/2015 gets replaced with a version from 7/11/2018. The later driver does no support all the same display resolutions so using the newer driver skews my display making it look wider and pictures do not look correct. device manager does not show a rollback option for the driver so i am stuck with the newer driver. i always have to tell windows update to revert back to the previous windows version. where can i find this older version of the driver so i can download it and use it to restore once i allow the windows feature updates to run again?
i used the free tool driverbackup to backup and restore all 3rd party drivers. it appeared to backup ok but when i tried to restore the ati radeon 3100 graphics driver it gives an error saying the backup file might be corrupted.
windows update used to have a option to disable driver updates but that feature no longer exists.
