It is not possible to set the resolution higher than 1920 x 1080. I want to use 2560×1440 resolution.
I have the following system:
ASUStek V-M3A3200
Windows 10
Graphics card: MSI R5 230
Screen: BenQ PD3200Q- QHD
Connected the screen with graphics card via: HDMI and also tried Displayport
Installed AMD Catalyst. Newest drivers are installed.
I have checked, and every part of my system should be capable of delevering a higher resolution than 1920x1080.
I already have tried:
- connect another computer to the screen; then the screen accepts a higher resolution.
- connect with HDMI. and connect via displayport. Both cables give no higher resolution than 1920x1080.
- other HDMI and displayport cables
- upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10
In systeminformation, it shows a lot of conflicts/shares about the amd radeon hd 7400 series. Screen print attached. Does these conflicts have something to do with the resolution? Is the graphics card a hd 7400 series? I thought it was a other amd product.
Can you help me?
Thanks for helping. Unfortunatly, VSR is not supported on this videocard (R5 230).
In the properties screen, the maximum reported resolution of the screen is 1920x1080 (which is not case; the benq screen can handle 4k).
Here is my other system information:I hope you can handle some Dutch config settings (this is how amd radeon exports it).

Have you downloaded and installed the Benq "PD3200Q WHQL Driver", so that the monitor is identified properly? Not sure if it will help your situation.
Also, your card might get detected as an older 7400 because AMD rebranded some GPUs to make them sound newer.
Direct Rebrand of HD 8450
installed the benq drivers - no difference.
i looked for drivers of the hd 8450 on the amd support site, and did not found 8450.
You shouldn't be looking for it. The article says it's a rebrand. that's all.
yeah, I understand, but looking for every possible solution
Check your computer display settings. Sometimes installing new drivers changes the refresh rate to 59hz. Change that to 60hz and then check what resolutions you have.
I think this is sign that there is something wrong:
the refreshrate is set on 59hz and whatever I do, it will not go to 60hz.
try a more recent video card for your monitor
