Hello, I wanted to report an error that occurs in Monster Hunter Wilds with 24.9.1 and that is that using the game in DX12 it crashes as soon as I start the saved game and loads, but if I put it in DX11 it works fine.
(I have tried everything (disabling smart access memory, repairing the system, reinstalling DX12 and a long etc. of attempts, and there is no solution) Now if I go back to 24.8.1 and run it in dx12, it works perfectly, so I will continue using these .-. C
an anyone check if the same thing happens with 24.9.1 in monster hunter wilds? My computer is an rx 6700xt and a ryzen 5700x, 16 ram 3200Mhz, Motherboard: TUF GAMING B550-PLUS, WINDOWS 11 23h2
Yep this issue happen to me, lol. Even I rollback into the preview driver, the issue still same.
Yes the issue seems to be with the new drivers update (24.9.1) I played MHW for 2 hours before updating, i realized there was an update and soon updated to 24.9.1 not long after i wanted to play MHW and loaded it up well guess what?......GPU crash the system went back to normal as soon as MHW was closed....on the next boot the game auto turned off DX12 and now runs with no issues...i tried other games and there are NO issues but as soon as i use DX12 on MHW GPU crashes.
its not a physical issue so don't bother changing cables or lowering power. the issue seems to be in relation to driver 24.9.1 and DX12+MHW.
Same here
In my case I joined a lobby without any problem, problem started when trying to join any hunt in the GL online, game get freeze and later my pc, sometimes the Graphic Error appear then pc recover. I was playing with the 24.8.1 without any problems days ago, but with the 24.9.1 not possible to play for me. Next time ill try running the game in Dx11 and see if the problem persist.
I did a clean Windows 11 instalation thinking that my system was the problem
Tested Cyberpunk even with the AFMF 2 and 0 problems.
Hope they hear us and fix it, I did report when the Adrenalin crashed but idk if that work lol
you seems hyped with MH Wilds
I'm hyped too
Wow, I hadn't really noticed, hehehe, yes, I have a lot of hype for wilds to be released.
Hope they fix this thing soon, I don't understand if something is working well through the years, that now it get broken with a driver update that is supose to work better.
forgot to add in my post with the problem my pc, rx7900xt, r7 7800x3d, 64gb ram ddr5 6ghz, MB: Asus Rog Strix B650E-E, Windows 11 Pro 23H2.
Seems this problem will stay for a while, any news on your side people?
Hopefully they fix it , good to know it’s just the drivers, i got kinda scared when I tried to do an investigation and it kept crashing
use driver version 24.8.1.
same, please fix this
Same here.
Still happening with 24.10.1. For me it loads Astera just fine but crashes when trying to go to Seliana. It completely freezes my PC and i need to force a reboot.
I get a same situation with you. And I will roll back to 24.8.1 tonight as the comments suggest.
Actually if you wait, the game will crash and report an error: "fatal error: err 12 "
same here, just starting mh worlds again and has been constantly crashing with dx12 on zorah mission hr 5, it always crash when center magmacore (the one inside its belly) is exploding..
haven't tried it with dx11 but when i changed to dx11 its struttering so much even on character selection
edit: using 24.10.1
I love you. I was ready to throw my PC out the window until you've shown me I'm not alone.
Same version 24.10.1 and error12 whenever the belly magmacore explodes.
Back to confirm for anyone reading that 24.8.1 drivers fix the issue.
I have the same problem on 7800xt, when I enter the Alatreon mission and it will crash inevitable, prompt “err12: graphic driver”. Restarted the MHW, It prompt: dx12 crashed and use dx11. When I using dx11 there is no crash but the quality is very blurry. If I try to turn to dx12, it will crash again even if I set the lower quality.
I try to update AMD graphic driver, but It's futile. This phenomenon exists at least in these two drivers I used.
I think this is a big and universal problem!
