Microphone not found-MSI Stealth A16 AI+

After having gone thru 5 sessions of reinstalling the OS from the disk image, I have concluded that it is the Adrenalin/drivers updates from the AMD support page (https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html)  that causes my microphone to disappear. Is it some sort of web based tool that determines what drivers and updates I get? MSI tells me that I should not update Adrenalin - a less than helpful solution. Brand new MSI Stealth A16 AI+, Ryzen AI 9 365, Radeon 880M, 32 g ram. How can I update Adrenalin/AMD software without making mic disappear?

Go to Windows Settings - Sound and see if Windows is recognizing your Microphone or if another Microphone is selected as your main Microphone.

If you Mike isn't selected go ahead and select it and see if it works now. Possibly you may have more than one Mike in your PC.

Here is how my Windows 11 Windows Setting - Sound looks like:

While i appreciate the info, my problem is a little more involved. In the OOB state in which I originally found my computer, the Settings, System, Sound information showed only an AMD microphone array as the microphone input. After updating Adrenalin, that setting showed 'no input found.' Several calls to tech support at MSI and Microsoft lead to the same result - re-image from image partition. Needless to say, 5 times of having to do this to recover the microphone is ridiculous. And it does not solve the problem. MSI support forum help says 'don't update Adrenalin - just use Windows Update.' Ridiculous also. I cannot believe that I am the only one with this problem.
