Lower FPS with 24.7.1 drivers in R7 5800H / RX6600M laptop

Hello,

I had stuttering issues in VALORANT in 24.6.1 (first game I tried after a few months), but it was later fixed in 24.7.1. However, I did not play any other games.

Recently, I have played plenty of other GPU-intensive games such as CS2, Forza Horizon 5, Once Human etc. Except CS2, I had no experience in other games before. So, I thought the FPS I am getting is "normal". I had 24.7.1 drivers installed for both iGPU and dGPU, so can't be some compatibility issues with my iGPU drivers.

And again, CS2 is known for being buggy, so I did not care. However, I saw my friends with much lower end PCs were getting better FPS in CS2. So, I decided to finally, try my old favourite driver version again which is v23.9.1. And guess what? I had much higher FPS in every game.

So, here's the thing:

CS2 went from 80-140 FPS to 180-230 FPS (which I remember as being normal).

Once Human went from 80 FPS to 130-150 FPS.

I have yet to test Forza (but optimizing game speed seems to be much faster now) but I don't see much difference in VALORANT. So, maybe, it is mainly those graphic intensive games which were having issues.

Anyway, what could be the reason behind this? Is the driver not optimized for this hardware?
