Linux Kernel 5.2 screen corruption and tearing

Linux kernel bug regression in 5.2.

Until kernel 5.1, raven ridge platform had issues with suspend/resume in linux - it was fixed in 5.1 but has returned since 5.2. Also, in 5.2, screen tearing and corruption makes the system unusable. I have 2 notebooks- Dell inspiron 7375 and Huawei mate book D running opensuse tumbleweed and ubuntu daily respectively. Both are on kernel 5.2 and both have ryzen 2500U. Both have the screen corruption issues and suspend issues. They work with kernel 5.1.

Using the kernel boot param "iommu=soft" fixes both screen corruption issue and suspend/resume.
