Hi, I have ryzen 7 5800h processor in my laptop. I tried installing various linux distro but all have the same problem.
Currently I am using kubuntu (ubuntu 21.10) and the gpu driver doesn't seem to work.
it says :
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/amdgpu/vangogh_gpu_info.bin for module amdgpu
W: Possible missing firmware /lib/firmware/amdgpu/navi10_mes.bin for module amdgpu
and the screen brightness control does not work.
I tried various solutions available in the internet but nothing worked.
Finally, I tried to install the amdgpu for my cpu by downloading from the official website
i.e amdgpu for ryzen 7 5800h (radeon graphics) in linux from the link below:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-mobile-processors-radeon-graphic...
but it is available only for windows. There is no option for me to install amdgpu in my linux.
So how do I make linux distro work properly in my laptop...?
