Hello, the latest chipset driver causes massive issues with my pc. When I install this on my computer it basically makes my computer unusable. The computer reboots randomly, performance is horrible, the internet stops working or slows to a crawl, etc. As soon as I uninstall the driver and use the default windows drivers or update back to the last older version 4.11.15.342 everything is back to normal. Here is some information about the computer - AMD 5800x cpu, MSI B450 Tomahawk Motherboard, and windows 10 x64 Pro
Haven't had any issues with the latest chipset driver, installed it on several AMD systems the other day, including some laptops and a gaming rig/desktop with a 5900x CPU, X570 chipset, 6700XT GPU. If the new driver is not playing well with your system, you did the right thing by rolling back.
For me, this version seems to have some problems with performance degradation, both CPU and GPU, so is everyone OK?
Agreed. For the last 3 updates there have been a loss of performances.
I can tell with the results I got from testing with 3D Mark Pro, I lost about 1500 to 2000 Total Score at 4K 2 X MSAA and whatever I do, I can't recover the loss.
That's very frustrating after building a multi 1000 quids VR PC not to be able to play it in the way it was built for, the worst is that I know it can run way faster without a glitch.
From a best score of above 21 000.
3D Mark Pro latest tests results:
Default: 18 495
OC: 18 414
U-V: 19 040
There are now many people who have B450 motherboards having issues with the latest chipset driver. If you have B450 I recommend using the chipset drivers from your motherboard manufacturer or one of the older versions from this page B450 Previous Drivers | AMD
I upgraded from a B450 Gaming plus which never gave me any trouble, I was playing DCS with quite high settings with a 5600X, 32GB of Cl14 3200 RAM, an EVGA 1080Ti.
Now with this MEG X570S ACE MAX, 64GB of Cl14 3600 RAM, Sapphire Radeon RX 7900 XTX Nitro+ Vapor-X 24GB GDDR6 I experienced a near 10% loss of performances in 3DMark Pro since the last 3 drivers.
Just to say I'm not too happy with this situation.
