So I'm writing this here after having tried to deal with the issue for quite a while now. Ever since AMD Adrenalin Edition 24.5.1 I've been having issues with running games in fullscreen. They either crash for no real reason, or when they do open, it's as if they're frozen in place. Oddly enough whenever I'm tabbed out or press the windows key, I can see things work again and moving my mouse around while still not having the game focused it seems to work as usual. Once I click something though, it freezes again.
Like I said before, this is an issue I've been having with all (and I really mean every single one of them, I tried them all, multiple times even) Drivers starting from 24.5.1. Currently I just don't know what to do, it doesn't seem like it's a very common issue, especially not a weird one where the game still seems to run but it just doesn't show it properly. I suppose this post here is less of a call for help as it is just a complaint for how bad the latest drivers have been.
If you're suggesting that I should reinstall windows, then you're probably right, but this is not something I can do at the moment. So for now I am stuck on a few months old version of the driver (24.4.1 to be exact) that probably also has issues with performance etc.. But there's nothing I can do about it. I appreciate any input about what I could do to fix my issue while keeping my installation of windows so I can finally update the drivers again, but if not that, I hope someone from AMD sees this so they can make sure their drivers work properly again in the future.
