Issue with AMD HW H.264 (AVC) Encoder Quality in OBS Studio

Dear AMD Community,

I hope this post can help me, I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I am writing to address an issue I've encountered while using the AMD HW H.264 (AVC) encoder in OBS Studio, specifically with version 30.1.2. While I have been using an RX 6700XT graphics card with Adrenalin drivers version 24.4.1, and have found it to perform admirably in various tasks, I've recently encountered a significant problem.

Upon starting a stream, particularly in scenes with movement, the encoder introduces buffering artifacts with noticeable pixelation, as evidenced in the attached photo.

This issue has become more pronounced lately, whereas previously, it was not as prominent.

As a regular streamer, I've attempted to mitigate this problem by experimenting with different resolutions and quality presets, yet the issue persists across various settings. Currently, on platforms like Twitch, the AMD HW H.264 (AVC) encoder is the only viable option, but the image quality suffers significantly.

Given the importance of streaming quality for content creators like myself, I am reaching out to inquire if there are any known solutions or improvements in the pipeline for the AMD HW H.264 (AVC) encoder. It would be immensely beneficial for streamers like me if this encoder could be revisited and potentially optimized for better performance and image quality.

I appreciate any assistance or insights the community or AMD representatives can provide on this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

Best regards, IlPeppon
