Since a couple months, almost every single time I play RuneScape3, the game crashes without any error prompt. At first I thought the issue was with the game because I've had no issues other than on RuneScape. I tried the classic solutions: clearing the cache, updating drivers, updating Windows, reinstalling the game+launcher, etc. None of the mentioned solutions fixed my issue and it just kept getting more and more frequent. I figured the game would be fixed in a patch within a couple weeks but no.
This week, the game crashed 3 times in a span of 30 minutes so I opened Windows Event Viewer and realised there was three Application Errors at the same date and time my client crashed. All three errors mentionned the same module:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\u0410212.inf_amd64_daae2c8b5eb35aaa\B409877\atio6axx.dll
Here's my current setup:
GPU: Radeon RX 5700
AMD Software: 24.12.1 (bugged). I tried AMD Software Adrenaline Edition 24.6.1 (Driver Version 24.10.21.01-240620a-404579C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition) but it also crashed.
OS: Windows 10
Only way I found to "fix" the constant crashes (for now, only time will tell) was downgrading to AMD Software Adrenaline Edition 24.3.1 (Driver version
23.40.27.01-240313a-401992C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition).
I hope this can help anyone with the same issue, I can also provide the dmp file of my client crash if needed.
