Installing driver updates of differing versions or dates

Hi community members.

I have access to 2 different AMD chipset driver updates, of differing version numbers and dates. One is on the motherboard site and is referenced as version 3.10.22.706 dated 8-April-2022, other is on the AMD update site and is referenced as version 4.03.03.431 dated 14-Mar-2022. References seem confusing. Which should I install ??.

Regards

Tony

The Motherboard's Chipset version may be different because it includes AMD Chipset drivers plus it is customized for that specific motherboard.

AMD Chipset drivers are generic thus has a different version on it.  I would use the latest version either from the Motherboard or AMD download site by looking at the dates.

Both are fine to use.

NOTE: On my Asus Motherboard the latest AMD CHIPSET set is from 11/18/2021 version Version 3.10.22.706 so in my case I would use AMD Website that has a newer version, by date, then Asus which is 03./14/2022 version 4.03.03.431 : https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/x570
