I recently upgraded from a 1060 to 6600xt, and after installing the graphics drivers the first time, it ran beautifully and I loved it. Then I turned off my pc and went to sleep. When I tried to turn it on the next day, I would get a black screen. Messed around for a bit and got it working again, but same thing happened after I turned it off and on again and it wont work at all now.
I narrowed the issue down to the amd display drivers, and I can stop the black screen by uninstalling the software in safe mode with or without DDU. Whenever I try to install the graphics drivers again, the screen would go black at the 70-85% mark of the installation.
I have tried to install different driver versions, 22.2.3 (non whql and whql) and 21.10.2 and the same issue occurs on each version.
If anyone might know the cause of this and possibly how to fix it please let me know.
