Greetings. I'm currently using an Asus ROG-Strix-RX580-8G-Gaming video card with the latest drivers ( 24.9.1) on a Windows 10 64 bit machine running the latest build 22H2 ( 19045.5198). I am not getting into additional pc specs because they are irrelevant for my issue. My issue is that until recently the "Image Sharpening" option with 90% "Sharpness" in AMD's Control Panel was working flawlessly with no problems whatsoever but the last 1/5 month or so is causing black screens in some applications. The black screens i am experiencing are not crashing my applications but instead there are no graphics at all. Just windows sitting there with black screens inside them. The applications that are problematic for me are the following : "4K Video Downloader +", 4K Youtube to MP3", "The Force Engine" and "ScummVM" so far or that i know of. All the applications are updated to their latest builds and strangely enough the "4K Video Downloader" ( without the plus + ) is working without problems. Today, while i was researching my problem, i confirmed that by turning the "Image Sharpening" option off in AMD's Control Panel the aforementioned applications ran without problems and without black screens. So, i concluded that the latest driver (24.9.1 ) for my video card ( RX 580 ) was messing thing up. Is there by any chance that a fix will be included in a future updated driver? Thank you very much for listening to me!
