Once you post your computer setup including Make & Model of GPU, CPU, Motherboard, Windows and BIOS/UEFI and CHIPSET versions installed then it will be possible to have someone help you with your issues.

Make & Model of Monitor? How is it connected to the Computer/GPU card? Driver version installed?

Check Device Manager and check to see if there are any errors or Yellow Exclamation marks.

Resolutions are set in the computer Display settings.

Also check your computer display settings as sometimes new driver installation changes the refresh rate to 59hz instead of the correct setting of 60hz. Why this makes a difference? I don't know. But it has solved issues like this before. Reboot after the change.

ignore the refresh rate, it is a holdover from the CRT era
