How to disable game bar method of managing 3d v cache cores? 7950x3d

Hi

specs

7950x3d (only cpu thats been in there)

Asus PRO ART x670e mobo

Asus TUF 4090

G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series DDR5-6000 ,

Custom water cooling, temps are fine

Balanced power plan

game bar and game mode on

First off, I had a fresh install of Windows installed with the latest chipset drivers from AMD.

I had bad stutters until I updated bios but I still think the ftpm issue is still at play

And everyone says, the game bar method just works. And I find most games work okay (minor stutters, if even).

The very infrequent stutters sometimes get worse if I am recording or doing other tasks while gaming.

Sometimes, BF2042 (and other games) doesn't park all cores. I know that cores will unpark as necessary but...

I want to try process lasso to have better control while preferring frequency cores in the bios. I have seen lots of people talk about this and I think they all just disable game mode.

But I just want to know the best way to temporarily undo or disable the gamebar method.

  • Can I just switch to high-performance mode?

  • Do I need to disable the 3d v cache optimizer service?

  • Can I uninstall the AMD PPM Provisioning File driver or other chipset drivers? (how do I do that? which ones should I definitely keep?)

  • Do I disable game mode or game bar? (I kinda like game bar because you can use the overlay to access the volume mixer and I heard Game Mode does other helpful things.)

  • Do I need to reinstall Windows again?

I think just disabling the 3d v cache optimizer service seems the best but let me know, please
