I decided to visit an old game from childhood and the game looks really bad at 16;9 because the boards won't scale to the screen size, so i would like to reduce it to 4;3 for a while, is that possible?

I'm using a RX 580

can you run the game in a Windowed Mode?

This tech site shows you various ways to get into a Windowed Mode with a game: Play a Computer Game in Windowed Mode 

This program which I used in the past does seem to work even though it is old. Called DXWND. It allows any DX run game to run automatically in Windowed Mode. You can download it from here: DxWnd download | SourceForge.net
