In amd-raidxpert2_user_guide_3.12 i miss the docu how to add a separate SATA RAID storage array to PC with Windows installed on an SSD connected with Nvme.
Have a B650 based PC with an bootable SDD connected to Nvme bus and Windows installed on it. How can i add 2 SATA HDDs as RAID1? (In BIOS i can add this array but how and which drivers do i need to install to see the RAID1 in Windows?)
In the RAIDXpert2 User Guide refer to Chapter 3 starting on page 37 for how to enable RAID mode in the BIOS, then use the RAIDXpert2 utility within Windows to create and initialize an array.
Thank you FunkZ,
but i cannot use the RAIDXpert2 utility within Windows cause some files are missing. Do you know which drivers i need to install after Windows is installed to see the data RAID1 which was setup in BIOS?
If the RAIDXpert2 application will not work due to missing files you may need to uninstall and reinstall. Check with your motherboard manufacturer download support utility page, it should be listed there. Once installed, RAIDXpert2 should detect any existing arrays and display them like such:
Thank you,
Used now AMD RAID Installer (SATA, NVMe RAID) Revision Number 5.12.07.030
During installation in the DOS Window i have seen that Driver packet cannot be installed - timeout
After that GUI displayed success and Restart Button
After Restart started RAIDXpert2 Utility and got:
"Unable to find rccfg RAID driver please ensure all required RAID drivers are installed."
And no drive is displayed in RAIDXpert2 App.
Now reinstalled Windows11 loaded the PreLoad Drivers raid_windows_driver_9.3.2.00255.
After this i installed RAIDexpert2 App which created the Data RAID1 as array2 (array1 is LEGACY SSD with Boot and Windows), created Volume and can use that RAID1 in windows.
But when i start PC it does not boot up to Windows anymore it stop at "Media Presence..." and i get only into Windows if i enter BIOS and rescan disks in RAIDexpert section.
Does someone know why PC does not start from array1 which has Windows installed?
thank you!
