Recently i have upgraded my monitor to an LG 32GQ850 ... 

Must say,  it's a SUPERB QHD screen with a refresh rate of a whooping 240 - 260 (OC) HDR600 .

Now, as for the Max refresh rate & HDR mode in windows 11, it seems to be very problematic for an old RX480 gpu using it in extended view !!

A. 240hz option is simply not available in extended view ONLY .. Max is 144hz. 

240 - 260hz is only available in 1 monitor setup mode !

B. HDR is available but text onscreen is all messed up garbled & ONLY @120 / 144 hertz... Desktop quality seems fine again at → 60hz in HDR mode !!  

What gives, AMD again.. fyi ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ?

Ofcourse, both gpu and windows are up to date.. 

Atm rolling back to troubleshoot this issue..

Curious how the monitor will act , when i received my RTX 4070Ti this week ..

Update..

Just received my 4070Ti , and as expected.. EVERYTHING works JUST PERFECT

TV output Resolution / Refresh rate doesn't hinder the max refresh rate of my main monitor anymore, wich is 240hz - 260hz (OC)

Moral of the story , AMD driver, drivers .. "support" .... (ಥ﹏ಥ)

rx480 had DP 1.3 ports on it. DP 1.3 does not support DSC. HDR 10-bit color at 240hz would require DSC and DP 1.4 most likely.
