HD7870 : 2D screen flickering windows 10

Hi

Since i updated to a 75hz monitor, from 60hz i got screen flickering on desktop.

It's only in 2D application, it works fine on game.

If i set monitor to 60hz it seems to disappear. I use HDMI cable, i tried 3 differents with same issue.

I saw thousand of related threads but not a single solution, i think it's linked to 2D memory clock speed but not sure.

Does the flicker appear with driver versions from before November 2018 or with 19.5.2?

agreed I have to use old drivers for my 7870 and 7950 to work correctly. AMD does not seem interested in supporting fixes to problems THEY introduced in new drivers. Even though the cards are STILL SUPPORTED. 

Run DDU, try a previous driver and report the issue to AMD support:https://www.amd.com/en/support/contact-email-form

I have only tested 20.4.2 a recent version.

I will try 19.5.2

I tried 19.5.2 and 18.12.3 still same problem.

I will try even older version.
