Adjusting Radeon FreeSync Within Individual Application Profiles
Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 17.12.1 introduced a new feature that allows Radeon™ FreeSync™ to be adjusted on a per application profile basis.
For more information on how to add an application profile to Radeon Settings, please refer to article: Creating Application Profiles.
Once the profile has been created there are three options to adjust Radeon FreeSync for the application, which are:
- AMD Optimized – This is the default option which will automatically select the optimal Radeon FreeSync setting (On/Off).
- On – Enables Radeon FreeSync.
- Off – Disables Radeon FreeSync
Note! Radeon FreeSync can only be adjusted on a per application basis if the AMD FreeSync option is set to On within the Display menu. For more information on enabling Radeon FreeSync, please see the section above: Enabling Radeon FreeSync™ in Radeon™ Settings.Follow the steps below to adjust Radeon™ FreeSync™ on a per application basis.1. Open Radeon Settings. This can be done in any of the following ways:
- Right click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings
- Click on the Radeon Settings icon in the System Tray
- Select AMDRadeon Settings from the Programs menu
2. Select the Gaming tab
3. Select your desired application, Battlefield 1 is used in this example.
4. Set AMD FreeSync to On or Off.
5. Once the selection has been made close Radeon Settings.
