Fix the drivers for kingdom hearts, too long

Two months on steam and years on egs is an unacceptable amount of time to take to fix such an extreme bug

i will be drafting a class action claim to file soon, as you need consequences for inaction

You have also provided link to your setup that includes quote "MSI VENTUS 3X E OC GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB Video Card". This is Nvidia's GPU, not AMD's.

So it seems to me to be game's developers responsibility to fix it for all users.

 

Additional question is, was the game EVER working properly on ANY GPU?

Sadly this will only end up with you losing.

Square Enix and AMD probably have an army of lawyers at their helm...

But you're right something MUST be done.

Is AMD required to support every game on the market? I doubt it...

 

It does suck they when they aren't actively fixing issues that are important to people. I see like 6 of you complaining about this particular game on a daily basis. Figured AMD would be annoyed enough to fix it lol.

Hey, could you please provide the following details?

- what game and version is it exactly? Could you please provide Steam link for the game?

- what GPU and CPU are you using?

- what driver version are you using?

- steps to repro the issue (map / level / game mode) and (or) the game saves we could load?

I’ve given them detailed info now too, so they have to actually explain the inaction

can you please explain, first and for most, why, even though this has been reported for months and staff said they’d work on it, there’s been radio silence and no fix? It’s unacceptable to take this long and to not respond (yes to every comment), we pay a lot of money for the hardware and it’s reasonable to expect it function or be fixed efficiently, so I want an answer 
It’s the latest version of kingdom hearts 3 on steam (I’ve read this impacts all the kingdom hearts games) https://store.steampowered.com/app/2552450/KINGDOM_HEARTS_III__Re_Mind_DLC/ 

this is issue was acknowledged by the developers at release and subsequently ignored, despite hundreds of comments and posts: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2552450/discussions/0/6234751259564838013/

im using the latest driver version

some examples of the issue: 

-the very first tutorial level drops to single frames the entire level

- the gummi ship editor does the same 

- twlight town mansion cutscene 

-cooking with rami

-any in between worlds cutscenes 

-I’m not up to it yet as I can’t stand the stutter anymore but apparently sanfransokyo is barely functional

as you can see by my setup, it absolutely should have no issue running the game, I can run any and all game I own with no issue but this 

as another commenter said, there are numerous posts detailing this over the past year in this forum if you need further detail

RDNA2 GPUs are fine.

RDNA3 GPUs are the ones with issues.

While I agree it is probably their job to do the fixing, what I cannot condone is how radio silent this is between AMD and Square Enix there is literally no updates to give us some hope, also the sheer lack of NOT mentioning KH issues on the driver update pages is actually repulsive!

I can confirm the RDNA3 specific issue it is already acknowledged and being worked on. But I cannot provide release date of the driver with a fix.

At least you gave me an update saying they are working on RDNA3 specific issues.

Radio silence is never good... it makes people think its being ignored.

I'm not stalking it... jeez I'm trying to get recognition to get it fixed and you say that to me?

Fine. I just won't bother.

It runs perfect on my Steam Deck anyway, I just wish it would work on the Rog Ally and Rog Ally X.

 

For clarity I've been on this issue since November 2023, so I've been at them tooth and Claw for months now!

Now with that said I'm just not going to bother anymore, if it's fixed it's fixed. I'm past caring now, it's too little too late now.
