So i found a fix for the people that experience freezing of sound and display while watching videos from web browser on the 24.1.1 and 24.2.1 driver.All you have to do is disable Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync from the monitor not only from adrenalin software,if you disable it only from the adrenalin software your sound and display will still freeze while watching videos from web browser so you need to disable FreeSync completely from your monitor display.And since every monitor is different i can't assist you from there.By the way you can turn Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync back on while gaming because in games it is working correctly,it is causing problems only while watching videos from web browser.

Is this some system specific hardware/software, or multitasking/multimonitor issue?

Not OP, but just wanted to chime in with my experience. R5 2600 cpu with RX 7600 GPU, freesync on with dual monitors at different hertz and zero issues for me.

I don't know if it's a widespread issue.

It could be i have Asus VG278 and my sound freezes when i watch videos from web browser like youtube or netflix with Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync on,and as soon as i turn off adaptive sync from the monitor everything goes back to normal.
