Hi to all, I have a Dell precision M4800 notebook With an Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Venus XT [Radeon HD 8870M / R9 M270X/M370X]
After the upgrade from 20.04 lts to 22.04 lts the external monitor is not working as expecetd. I can see the mouse cursor moning on it but the background is black. seems that the amdgpu driver is not installed. I to reinstall and downloaded the suggestest driver from https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics ... series-gpu, but executing the installer got the message error: Detected X Server version 'XServer 1.21.1.4_64a' is not supported. Supported versions are X.Org 6.9 or later, up to XServer 1.10 (default:v2:x86_64:lib32:XServer 1.21.1.4_64a:none:5.19.0-42-generic:) Installation will not proceed.
How can I reinstall the correct driver?
