I recently turned my old pc that has an hd 7750 but my pc (and Windows update) recognizes it as a hd 4400 for some reason. I tried installing the latest driver for the 7750 to fix it but it keeps giving me the 182 error.

The only issue I saw on the graphic card was the hdmi and vga ports not working, other than that it looks ok.

Notice that the graphics card is recognized as a hd 4200, however, after checking my card i confirmed that it is a hd 7750

install windows 10 and it will get the right drivers for you box

windows 10 will accept your windows 7 key fine

It says you have a ATI HD 4200 SERIES graphics card which does not meet the minimum requirements for Microsoft W10....It is considered Legacy..meaning there are no drivers available from AMD .

Now to your question:

** Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 must be fully updated before attempting to install any AMD driver. All 'critical', 'recommended', and 'optional' (no language packs,etc) updates as well as any Service Packs (SP) must be installed before any attempt to install graphics drivers. If you do not get this message .... keep installing until you do:

windows 10 will work on the hd 4200 with wddm 1.0 support

just do not expect to play games
