So constantly have this issue where in the RADEO settings your updates DO NOT install correctly.  I restart get window that tells me it install, go to the AMD controller there is the update AGAIN.  This is a constant issue every time you guys release a new update it does not install until your next update.  So heres the deal, im not installing additional software to remove a prior driver that your systems should already have in place to resolve.  You need to fix the install issues on your end and if you cant well NVIDIA here I come.

Plug in the info on your GPU and there you are. If you get a message from the driver that a newer version is available, but you have verified that you already have the latest version installed--ignore the update message.   Always go to the link above to check on the latest driver release--also, use your eyes--since AMD drivers follow a progressive numerical scheme, 18.12.3, for instance, is newer than 18.12.2.  If something as simple as this bothers you a great deal, maybe you *should* check out nVidia...;)
