Hello, everyone.
I can not install the drivers to my RX580 8GB. This msg appears after the autodetect drivers or the driver to the Windows 10 "finish" the preinstall of the drivers from the AMD official website.
"Setup has detected an incompatibile build. Setup will now exit."
How can I install the drivers? I also have tried DDU and Driver Booster methods.
My setup:
OS: Windows 10 pro edition
CPU: i5 3470
RAM: 2x4gb DDR3 1600Mhz
GPU: GIGABYTE RX580 8GB - RGB Version
Mobo: Asrock B-75
Supply: EVGA 650w
HD: 500gb
SSD: Kingston 480gb
Also, the GPU is working, the video signal that I'm using it's by itself. Idk how to resolve It.
Should I go to the bios?
What build number of Win 10, and is it 64bit ?
goodplay has a point. If you are trying to install a AMD x32 driver on a Windows x64 system you will get that error message. Or maybe you are trying to install a Windows 7 AMD Driver instead of a Windows 10 driver.
If that is the case you must be using a older previous AMD Driver because AMD x32 drivers are not supported anymore by AMD for the RX580. The last Windows 10 x32 AMD Driver is from 2017 version 17.7.2 : Radeon™ RX 580 Previous Drivers | AMD
Here is the latest AMD x64 driver for the RX580: Radeon™ RX 580 Drivers & Support | AMD
Ok, I have a dual boot.
Windows x64 at the SSD and x32 at the HDD.
Fellas, I have two differents problems:
On the 64 bits OS: The GPU is recognized but the PC freezes at the first minute of boot
On the 32 bits OS: The GPU is not recognized, but the RX580 works as a adapter to exit the video signal by the HDMI spot.
The GPU was bought in December 2017 by the first owner, I bought it from him a month ago. Should I try to contact the Gigabyte or ask for a local assistance? In a Facebook forum, the people said that this problem (to freeze) appears when it has a problem at the BGA's weld.
I'm thinking about create a new topic on the hardware sector.
The only drivers for the rx580 are 64bit, so trying to run in 32bit is probable only if you mod drivers no amd support whatsoever.
Second hand/used card (maybe ex miner) your on your own, reflash vbios to stock see what happens.
