I am not sure if this is a hardware or driver issue. I have posted this question on Graphics forum, but I got no response.
So I thought I might get some answers from Driver side.
Does anybody know what is the problem and how can it be fixed?
usually those type of cables are used with older cards like the GTX 260 etc with a bunch of DVI ports where they can be plugged into a HDMI/DP panel
I am not sure I understand previous response.
Just to clarify, I have DP port on the card and I am using DP to DVI adapter (not cable) which is not working. And yes, I did get Active DP to DVI adapter.
But the other adapter I have, DP to VGA, is working fine.
You must have a really old display with no HDMI on it. 1920x1080 panels are cheaper than ever.
Thank you for your reply, but your reply is not helping me at all with diagnosing the issue why Active DP to DVI adapter in not working.
The adapter is Active adapter and it does state that it is eyefinity compatible.
DisplayPort to DVI D adapter is not bi-directional; Check for a DVI-D port on your monitor.
